What a brilliant day we had at the Marae. We took part in a powhiri, did four activity rotations, all said our mihi, learnt heaps and had fun!
We learnt about the different parts of the marae and what all the carvings meant.
We learnt about traditional māori instruments.
We enjoyed playing after our lunch
We learnt about flax and how it grows in families
We did some flax weaving.
What an amazing experience!
