Today Alexander enthralled us all with a science experiment using paper. He had folded the paper into different shapes and showed us how strong each shape was by balancing books on top. It caused a lot of discussion and questions about how it worked. Well done Alexander!

Mātariki

Homework Optional Extras
The students enjoy working on the homework optional extra during the week. On Friday morning we all get to listen to the children sharing their hard work. This week we were lucky enough to have two different kinds of baking to try for the letter L.

Shapes!!!
We are learning all about 2D and 3D shapes for mathematics at the moment. Here we are making 3D shapes out of play dough.
Riri's Goal
Today Riri shared his strength-based goal of creating his own pokemon! It was very impressive. Well done Riri.
Hockey Coaching
We have a hockey coach coming in on Mondays to teach us skills. What a great time we had today in our first session.

Electives
This term we are all taking part in Electives on Fridays during 11:20 - 12:30 pm. The students picked which elective they would like to be in. Electives include sport, art, craft, STEM, woodwork, mural group, I Pad fun, Science and Rocket Building. We are lucky to have some wonderful parents helping us out.
