Grace's Egyptian Presentation

Today Grace shared her presentation on Egypt and Mummies.  She has worked so hard learning information about them, visiting the museum, digging up fossils, writing in hieroglyphics, and even mummifying a saveloy!!!  It was so interesting to listen to all her knowledge and have a go at writing our own names in hieroglyphics.  Amazing effort Grace!!!!!

Welcoming GIFU students

Today we had a welcoming ceremony to introduce the 25 students who have come over from our sister school in Japan.  Each student spoke in English to say their name, how old they were and one of the things they like.  They are attending our school all week and on Friday there will be a dress-up day for International Day.

Ken's Maths Goal

Ken decided to make a board game for his strength-based goal.  It looks great and will now be added to the games we play during maths group rotations.  Well done Ken!

Maths - Patterns

For the next two weeks we are looking at an algebra topic on patterns.  Here are us having a go at making our own today.

Asma's Science Goal

Today Asma shared a science experiment with us.  She brought along a bottle of coke and some mentos lollies and we all predicted what we thought was going to happen when they were mixed together.  We talked about what made the chemical reaction.  It was very interesting.

Amish Friendship Bread

Tristan has kindly brought along an 'Amish Friendship Bread' start-up kit to Room 10.  Over the next 10 days we need to follow the instructions and hopefully we will be eating delicious bread at the end of it.  YUM!
