What an amazing job Room 10 did on our show 'Birds of a Feather'.  Amazing dancing, singing and masks made by each student.  Mrs Spencer and I are feeling very proud!

Birds of a Feather

Brooke's Championship Win

In the holidays Brooke competed in the National Championships for figure skating.  Mrs Spencer and I went along to watch her performance and we were blown away by her skills.

Brooke won her age division even though she was competing against skaters who were 11 and 12 years old!!!

Kapahaka and Pasifika Performance

Today we watched the GSNS Kapahaka and Pasifika perform for us.  They were absolutely amazing!  They will be peforming in the Polyfest in a couple of days.  Room 10 were really proud of Grace who is in the Pasifika group.  Well done Grace!

Noah's Cookbook

Noah has completed his A-Z of recipes for his cook-book.  Here we are tasting one of them!  We look forward to seeing his finished cookbook!

Pattern Art

Here is some photos of our Landscape Folk Art.  It is based on the artist 'Heather Galler'.  We have colour photocopied our artwork so we can also use it for our Calendar Art Orders.  Order forms will be coming home soon.

PJ Dress up Day

 Today was dress-up day.  Room 10 voted for our theme and Pyjamas won!  Here we are looking like we forgot to get dressed for school!

Choir trip to Woodhaugh Rest Home

Today the Middle Team Choir went to Woodhaugh Rest home to sing to the residents.  They sung beautifully and represented our school with pride.  They made the residents day!!!

Dress up Day

Today we had a dress up day.  Room 10 voted on a theme and the winner was - Pyjamas!!!  Each person who dressed up brought a sweet treat to be used as a prize for the fair.

Hosting School Assembly

I was so proud of Room 10 and the way they hosted school assembly.  They all spoke clearly, danced enthusiastically and showcased their brilliant artwork!  I think the whole school learnt a lot about patterns!

North Zone Cross Country at Balmac Intermediate.

Well done to Evie, Ethan and Brooke who ran in the North Zone Cross Country today.  Evie and Ethan are only Year 3 and Brook is only a Year 4 but they were racing against Year 5's!  

Brooke won the Year 5 girls race and qualified for the Otago Champs!!!

 Ethan's brother Roman won the Year 5 boys race and Ethan came 3rd!!! He has also qualified for the Otago Champs!!!

Ukulele Jam

Today 24 children from George Street travelled to Tahuna Intermediate for the Uke Jam.  There were about 500 children there and we played all the songs we have been learning for the last few months.  There were 6 children from Room 10 who attended.  Well done Asma, Joanne, Evie, Bea, Kaitlyn and Romaisa for all your practising.  We had a wonderful time!
