Electives

This term we are all taking part in Electives on Fridays during 11:20 - 12:30 pm.  The students picked which elective they would like to be in.  Electives include sport, art, craft, STEM, woodwork, mural group, I Pad fun, Science and Rocket Building.  We are lucky to have some wonderful parents helping us out.

Friday Maori with Mrs Yeoman

On Friday mornings for this term, we go to Māori with Mrs Yeoman.  We sing songs, learn proverbs, sentences and have a great time.

Puss in Boots - Playhouse Theatre Show

Today the Playhouse Theatre came and performed 'Puss in Boots - Pet Detective'.  It was an interactive and funny show.  We all really enjoyed it.

The Nukes

Today the Nukes ukulele group visited George Street Normal School.  The children learning the ukulele during Tuesday lunchtimes attended a workshop with them and then performed with the group in front of the school.  What a great show!!!!

Zihan's Strength-Based Goal

Gosh we have some clever students in Room 10.  On Friday Zihan shared some mandarin with us and taught us about the characters and how to say them.  It was so interesting and it was wonderful for Zihan to teach us about the language he speaks at home.  Fantastic!!!!

Hannah's Strength-Based Goal

Today Hannah shared her presentation about what it means to be gluten-free and why people need to avoid foods containing gluten.  Her research was really interesting and then she finished off by sharing a gluten-free brownie that she had baked!!! YUM!!!  Ka pai Hannah!
